Candice Tillman,LPC-S

For many years, I have worked with children and adults through different capacities. I began by earning a Bachelor of Arts from Houston Baptist University in Psychology and Child Development. While attending HBU I became a leader of two mission teams based in the 5th ward of Houston, working with children and families. I then went on 
to complete my Masters in Counseling Psychology
from Southern Methodist University. I have since been a therapist for a Childs Advocacy Center working with children who have experienced abuse and trauma, the Social and Emotional Program Specialist at a local non profit preschool, Small Steps Nurturing Center and a counselor at Nick Finnegan Counseling Center working with children and adults.

As a part of my education and license, I have attended training's in play therapy/play group therapy, trauma and crisis therapy. I am also a board certified Supervisor for Licensed Professional Counselors and fully trained EMDR clinician. (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

Monica McDermott graduated from the Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program at Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi after earning her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi in psychology. She gained clinical experience in a variety of settings including state hospitals, clinics and shelters. Monica has worked with clients experiencing, depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, mood disorders, self esteem issues , body images, substance use and thought disorders. She has experience with young children, adolescence and adults. She enjoys using CBT and expressive arts which allows individuals to freely express their feelings and learning empowerment to  guide them in helping themselves. Monica is eager to use her knowledge and experience in working with you.

Colette earned her M.A. degree in Counseling at Prairie View A&M University and undergraduate degree in Business from Sam Houston State University.
Colette believes that therapy is a collaborative process in which she enjoys assisting her clients to increase self-awareness, gain new perspectives, decrease symptoms, and increase personal strengths to have a more meaningful life experience.
Colette utilizes a person-centered and cognitive behavior approach exploring the beliefs that inform emotions and patterns of behaviors, utilizing a variety of techniques such as Psychotherapy, CBT, CPT and TFCBT, tailored to meet the needs of any individual.
Colette has worked with adults and children to overcome depression, anxiety, and early abuse and neglect issues. Her special interest is assisting people in recognizing and changing long-standing ineffective patterns of behavior, and in working with people who have experienced undernourished and traumatic childhoods. She also works with people who experience stress, job burnout, and grief and loss issues.

Check-in
               Training check-in takes place from 8:30am-9am in the main lobby.
Cancellations
               Cancellations 10 days or less before the training will not be refunded.
​               Cancellations more than 10 days before trainings will be refunded, minus a service charge of $5
